Singledeck Blackjack

Blackjack is everyone’s favourite casino game, so why not keep it very simple and play with a single deck of cards?

How to Win?

To win a game of blackjack your hand must have a numerical value closer to 21 than the dealer’s, without exceeding it.

If the first two cards you draw are an Ace and a 10 or picture card, you have won blackjack and be paid out at odds of 3:2.

If your cards equal the same as the dealer then you will receive your money back – this is known as a ‘push’.

Values of the Cards

The cards from two to nine are taken at face value, while 10, Jack, Queen and King all have a value of 10. An Ace can be valued at either 1 or 11.

Betting Options

Splitting – Drawing two cards of the same value will give you the opportunity to split your hand. This will divide your hand into two, with an equal wager placed on the second hand.

Only matching face cards are allowed to be split.

Double down – You will have the chance to double your original wager if your first two cards have a total value of 9, 10 or 11. You will only receive one extra card after doubling down.

Insurance – If the dealer shows an Ace card then you will have the option to buy insurance in order to protect your hand. Insurance will cost you half of your original wager.

If the dealer does draw blackjack then you will be paid out at 2:1, with your original wager lost.

If the dealer does not draw blackjack then your insurance bet will be lost and the hand will continue as normal.
